Is it true that every time we make a change in the configuration file we need to restart the asterisk server. This will not be practical in the production environment. Thanks,No, you don't have to "restart", you have to "reload"..
From the CLI just type "reload" and hit enter.. or for a command line run "asterisk -rx reload"..
