I use a 7960 with Asterisk and absolutely love it. It blows the snot out of the Nortel phone I used to use.
I have a 7940, which is basically a 7960 with 4 fewer buttons, and it works perfectly. The 7905/7912s are supposed to work, too, but I haven't used one.
