You probably won't go far wrong by looking at the support offered by www.aculab.com and trying to match it .

I suspect I probably would. I suspect I would probably end up implementing stuff nobody ever really users. :-) That's why I'm looking for real world feedback. I am aware what's in aculab, and nmss, and dialogic, and cisco's pile of protocols.
