I'm having some issues with res_config. I've used BKW's perl program to take a working sip.config and place it into the database. Asterisk doesn't load in the sip table from the database. What am I doing wrong?

You need to touch /etc/asterisk/sip.conf - the files still need to exist, but they can (and should) be empty.
