Exactly. I know this is not preferred, but it is the only way I can get around the problem currently (strange state message).
I am sure the call progress and busy detect are both no in my conf. I am looking for a "More Correct"
answer to this as well.

OK: Do you have these in zapata.conf?

busydetect=no
callprogress=no

They won't work in the UK.
