Is there a way for asterisk to notify you of this? Send an email? Send a page? Call you?
Nagios (I believe now is called NetSaint) can do this and much more.
But you must have "the power" to configure it... after that, Nagios can send you an email, a pager, even call you and turn on your coffee machine... ;-)
