How do you get 18 interfaces on one machine?Another way, if you're not worried about performance, is to use bonded nics and VLANs. Bonding is not required, you could technically route between as many vlans as you like through a single 10baseT card if you really wanted to!
A single ethernet link can carry several different ethernet segments by the used of tagged VLANS.
