can someone please tell me how much memory asterisk requires? I'm running 1.0.7 and after just a couple of days uptime, this is the process as reported from ps axfv

It would appear to require about 1.4GB, based on all the information you've presented.
I'm aware of what the numbers say, but having around 50 concurrent calls, doing some g.729 and having been up for a couple of days, then this looks an awful lot. now it's down to 30 calls, but it looks like it's still climbing
