Thanks for the heads up about using Wine, I just got Firefly to work under Wine, it supports both IAX2 and SIP, I'll test out the X-lite next.

I managed to get iaxcomm to work as well, I had some issues since it's not Gnome friendly, the trick was to kill the Gnome sound driver, then iaxcomm would work since it wanted exclusive access to /dev/dsp.
