I have the same problem with the Grandstream HandyTone 488. I think it's just the lack of ability of the box to do enough VOIP echo cancellation by itself. This should really just be a backup mode. As far as I can tell, the person at the other end doesn't hear this.
BTW, Is there a way to make this list easier to reply to? I end up replying back to the original sender if I don't remember to change the TO: field. Also, does anyone know what happened to [EMAIL PROTECTED] that stops it from allowing calls between extensions? I think this is also what is blocking incoming trunk calls going to extensions. I was trying to figure this out as an exercise in learning, but it is taking a while.
