Another reason is that you've got a bigger pool of people who might be able to answer your question. To illustrate, I haven't setup FWD in quite a while and I have no information on the rogers service.
One suggestion I might make is to make sure that you restart asterisk when you make changes to the IAX and other config files. Reload won't do it because it only reparses the dial plan (extensions.conf). I've been frustrated a few times because changes didn't seem to be working and it's only because I forgot to restart. If use "iax2 debug" at the command line, you'll get detailed messages about your IAX connection. It may tell you where your registration process is going wrong.
