If only you could keep the existing phone sets and hook 'em into *, but
that's a dream and a half!
I am certainly no expert on the internals but, as it was told to me,
there is some (bleep)
proprietary undocumented protocol between the phones and the norstar
that nobody has ever publicly documented. RevEng would be possible for
somebody with a digital scope and a LOT of time on their hands, would be
my guess :-)
Sounds like some OSS developers, but it ain't me right now. Think of the
fame, though!
