I'm guessing that if you quoted a nickle and dimer on using this versus a
feature rich batch of new phones, they would probably bite those nickle and
dimes and buy the new phones instead.

are several good options for brand new SIP handsets in that same price
range (sub $200 Canadian). 

If you don't max it out it makes even less sense.
