Hi and FYI:

An answer came back from our local telco on the possibility of getting BRI
based POTS lines set up in order to have DID transferred rather than CID:
(paraphrasing) "No, we can't do it. We can do this on a PRI or we can set
up analog trunk lines and transfer DID on those."

At first the answer was conflicted but the final answer seems to be no.
Pretty bad when there's nothing between $16 DID trunks (which we already
have) and $1200 PRIs, don't you think? I blame Nortel for this. For too
many years they tried to set the "standards." Look where they are now!

If anyone has any other ideas on how I might get * working with DID without
buying a PRI, I would appreciate it. Unfortunately a VOIP company is not
in the picture for the kind of service we are providing.

Regards,
Peter M.
