Morning Simon,

Yes, were using Sphinx, but not on our Asterisk server. Were using Sphinx4 to take recorded calls, scan for keywords, then upon identifying keywords using a second vocabulary to do further analysis of the call in proximity to the keyword.

Now if this sounds wacky, the purpose is to identify activity and to remove personal information from a recorded conversation ( which is what we do ). For example, if we recorded a hotel agent, we looking for a hotel reservation. So we are scanning the audio to see if a reservation was made (keywords: confirmation number, credit card, amex, etc....) and if so replace the credit card number number, and other identifying data (second keyword dictionary: digits only) with a tone of equal time duration so as to maintain the call time integrity.

Is pretty cool stuff, but pretty resource intensive and a very steep learning curve. I've just glad I have a good java programmer that also gets it.

And wouldn't speech-to-text of your voicemail -> email be a cool feature?
Or maybe an email -> voicemail gateway... Hmmm.
