I realize this is not the question you are asking, but my post to the asterisk-users list regarding the upgrade to SIP 8.2 on a 7960 (http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2006-March/142968.html) might help. For the 7960, the phone gladly moved on SIP<mac>.cnf after not finding both CTLSEP<mac>.tlv and SEP<mac>.cnf.xml. Nabeel
