Actually, I got it working last thing on Friday evening. Voicetronix had a 
hidden download site with updates so I tried version 0.64 of the logger app 
and it compiled.  Quite a relief that, especially since their eight channel 
card 
is ISA (if you can believe it.)  All the new stuff is for the PCI cards of 
course. 
The only problem seems to be that the .wav file won't play back due to a file 
path problem.  Should be simple to fix in PERL I think.  It doesn't look quite 
as advertised, but should do the trick.  It's been recording calls all weekend.

Thanks for the info on the other project though.  I'll have to check into that. 
These opensource projects have to be screened carefully, what?
