Trying to figure out why my codec rules are being ignored. I'd like to utilize g726 on my inter server IAX2 trunks.

Scenario:

Polycom 501 g729, ulaw enabled
   |
  \/
Astersik Server 1
   - polycom extension: allow=ulaw dissallow=all
   - trunk to peer : allow=g726, dissallow=all
   |
  \/
Asterisk Server 2
   - trunk - user settting for server 1: allow=g726, dissallow=all
   - trunk - peer 'LDprovider' : allow=g726, dissallow=none
   |
  \/
LD Provider

When the polycom dials outbound that goes to the LD Provider, it fails and says call could not be bridged. If I alter peer-trunk to the LD provider to allow=g726&ulaw, the call goes through but as ulaw all the way.

show translation gives:
Server1

Any ideas to what is stopping the transcoding on the trunk?
