My apologies if this is a bit FAQ but I'd greatly appreciate any
pointer....Sorry, I could not find anything while googling...MayB I'm
not good at it.
Please excuse my immature questions...I'm just new
Here's the question:
My friend and I have a T1 line we currently use for web hosting only.
Bell told us it's Data and Voice enabled.
We would know set up both Asterisk and our Proliant Web server share
this T1.
This is our current network diagram
T1 ==> Cisco Router ==> Switch ==> web server
We want to have this
T1 ==> Cisco Router ==> Switch ==>web server
==>Asterisk box
Is this feasible? Would the Asterisk box appropriately recognize the
incoming voice traffic?
If the above is possible, do we need to purchase anything else, apart
from Digium or Sangoma T1 Card?
We're not just sure if we will need to lease any lines from the Telco or
having a Voice/Data T1 is all we need on that front.
