Reza:

He asked for an FXO, not FXS.

Mike:

There are a couple of IAX FXO devices, nothing anyone local that I know of
has in stock.

Mike:

Gentek has an IAX device on which you can update the firm ware and make it
SIP, IAX or MGCP. Nabeel I believe, is a distributor for Gentek and he
can order it for you. I've tested the device extensively & I will have to
say the IAX device from Digium is still the best.

The IAX I am talking about is based on the PA1688 chipset. The main
problems with this IAX device is that it does not transmit caller ID in
IAX mode to your phone set. It also has certain issues with hang up.
However if you are only making outgoing calls, you should be fine. It's
available right on our backyard versus importing it from US, Taiwan, China
or Singapore.

The device you need is VP168S and I'm attaching a PDF for you to view. I
am also a vendor for Gentek and I would have been MORE than happy to order
this product for you - unfortunately I am on the road. If you can wait
till Monday, I could order it for you but of course you are welcome to
contact Nabeel and he can order it for you a.s.a.p.

Cheers!
Reza.

Looking to drop some devices at clients sites to connect to their
PBX's as an analogue extension (Only need one FXO). Want to use IAX2 so as
to avoid NAT issues, then will set up dial plan so we just dial say
99+client code, and bang have dial tone on their switch.

Thanks in advance!

Mike
