The cheapest per port is probably the Sipura SPA-3000 or the Grandstream
HT-488, for less than 6 ports.
These are external boxes, and you might experience some echo. Basically
you get what you pay for.

With more than 5 FXO ports you should be looking at the Sangoma A200
card.
This card also has an add-on module for echo cancellation.
Sangoma quality.

We happen to have these items in our store at
http://store.atlasvoice.com :-)
but you can also get this from www.voipware.ca

Subject: [on-asterisk] Cheap and Reliable FXO Interface

Thanks to everyone for all of their interesting and informative posts.

I've been doing a number of small office setups with Asterisk, mostly as
favours for friends and the need always comes up for an FXO interface
card at a budget price. The Digium card is a bit pricey and cuts into
the budget for the free dinner I might get for helping out.

Can anyone suggest a low cost FXO interface card available in the
Toronto area? A vendor recommendation is also appreciated.

Notes regarding any disadvantages (i.e. no caller id) of the particular
device would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Eric Hey
