Hello TAUG folks Yesterday's TAUG meeting (Metro Convention Centre) was my first. I enjoyed it and hope to participate. Asterisk is quite new to me.
For those of you "source" guys (I gather Nabeel is at least one) here is a heads-up I found while trying (and I've only got started) to build Asterisk et al. A bug causes compilation of /usr/src/zaptel-1.2.5/zaptel.c to fail. - reported http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=6425 - confirmed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=180568 I found a RedHat typo in /usr/src/kernels/2.6.9-34.EL-i686/include/linux/spinlock.h Line 407 IS WRONG ... rw_lock_t ... EDIT IT TO BE ... rwlock_t ... (for full details, see http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=6425 ) P.S. My strategy thus far is to install a Minimal CentOS 4.3 system, so I can see and document what's really needed. Apparently: DON'T yum install kernel-sources (RH has changed things as of V4.) INSTEAD yum install kernel-devel -- Sincerely, Alan Cohen email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] website: http://perimeter911.com phone: 416-783-9826
