If you are using 1.2 you might want to try the "o" flag in your dial
command:

Subject: [on-asterisk] PSTN to Asterisk to SIP provider to Cell and
caller ID

Here is the scenario,

Incoming call on PSTN

Outgoing to SIP forwarded to Cell

Caller ID of Incoming Call (not Asterisk PSTN or SIP number) must show
on Cell so that we I can decide if I want to screen the call.

If no answer on cell to voice mail on Asterisk.

I found this article which indicates that it is doable on a call via a
SIP provider in the US (Telestra)

http://nerdvittles.com/index.php?p=115

Apparently SIP provider must allow CID to be set by the customer.

I can't believe that this isn't a very common requirement!

Can anyone tell me if there are any providers in Canada that allow the
CID to be set on the fly?

As an aside I haven't found any SIP providers for the St.
Catharines/Niagara Area. This limits me to using a SIP provider for
outgoing calls only.

Does anyone know of a provider that can give me a local number for
incoming calls in my area

Thanks,

Dave
