According to http://www.downloads.rogers.com/wireless/Network_Specifications_GPRS_EDGE.pdf You can use TAP to connect to both GSM and TDMA phones (the last few pages of it talk about SMS and TAP). I'm also curious how to use TAP on Asterisk... It seems, according to http://www.activexperts.com/activsms/sms/tap/ That it's pretty "easy" to implement.
