This is not an Asterisk question, and also something I would not suggest
doing unless you know what your doing. By default TrixBox has no
firewall running since it is assumed that it will be running on a LAN
and not directly exposed to the internet.
But to get you headed in the right direction,
Are you going to also be using this machine as your LAN router also?
If so then your going to need:
- 2 NICs in the machine.
- DHCP server for your lan?
- iptable configured to close al but only required ports, NAT and
routing rules.
- pppoe to handle the adsl connection
My suggestion, is either use an easy to use home router and do port
forwarding to you *box or us an older machine and use a firewall distro
like pfSense, monowall smoothwall or devil-linux.
