Hello everyone,

I have a DTMF problem with a Wellgate FXO4 and Asterisk which I beleive is due to RTP payloa difference between that two (plz correct me if I am wrong) . I am able to set RTP payload to any value on the FXO4 gateway (e.g. 101). However, I do not know how to change that in Asterisk. Would some please be kind and let me know how to do it? or tell me if it is possible or not. Or what the work around is for my situation.

Here is a debug log from the FXO4 gateways:

 OFF_Hook -------- channel0
 Channel 0 select codec UsrChIn 1 and ChIn 1
 Set_DTMF_Type -------- channel0, type = 1vpEvent_handler CID=0 event=8

msg.cid=0 msg.command=CALL_EV_DISCONNECTED(132) at send2AP
CloseChannel0 ----------- ChInfo[(channel)].Active = 1
 ON_Hook -------- channel0

Could 0-EV_RTCP be  a problem?

And here is the RTP screen print out from FXO4:

RTP payload type information
        RFC2833 payload type       : 101
        FAX payload type           : 96

By the way, this is a Wellgate FXO4 unit.

Thanks in advance,
Bruce
