That information must be outdated because my vbuzzer works fine over
Rogers WIMAX.
I'm getting 1.4Mbit download and 240Kbit upload over WIMAX with low
latency. The network can handle it. Something is being blocked along the
way. With the IP phone registered on the Asterisk server through Rogers
WIMAX, the server never sees an outgoing call request from the phone. I
tried using port 80 in Asterisk an the phone because this is what
vbuzzer uses, but that didn't work either.
If the vbuzzer folks can get SIP working through WIMAX, shouldn't we be
able do it with Asterisk?

according tou Trevor Moat, of SomaNetworks (who has supplied us with a
WiMax-like appliance), Wimax and VoIP are incompatable; the
compression and the latency will kill it.
