The problem as explained to me with GSM is it requires floating point
operations, and mobile phones have an extra chip to deal with this,
however ATA makers don't seem to want to spend a little extra to include
an extra chip in their devices so I don't know of any that support GSM,
however g729 usually provides about the same level of bandwidth as GSM
so most people just tend to use that instead.
