For the curious, the appliance is nothing particularly special. What is
more interesting is that it was built using rPath's free rBuilder
(http://www.rpath.com/rbuilder/) service, which lets you create your own
linux distribution ez-bake style. I fiddled with it (rBuilder) this
morning, and it seems good for someone who doens't want to invest a lot
of time putting together and maintaining a distro that is reasonably
lean, customized, and branded appropriately.
