There has been some talk on the list with regard to softphones running on pdas.
I have been thinking about getting one and would like to hear the collective
wisdom from taug. Although the numerous wifi phones look interesting, they
seem limited since they are only phones, e.g. no ebook, mp3, other
applications, and seem quite expensive. A pda solution sounds like a good
compromise.

Personally, I am partial to Palm devices (currently a Treo 600, which I love
other than the screen) but I have seen quite a bit of functionality with
Windows Mobile/ce/whatever it is called this week devices, particularly since
these devices more commonly ship with wifi capabilities.

Since none of the devices I have seen include sip/iax softphone software, I'm
also interesting in hearing about your favorite pda softphone (especially iax
as I strongly prefer it over sip for nat-ability with remote extensions).

So, I'd love to hear of any success stories in using a wifi-enabled pda to
connect to our favorite pbx: *, especially with an emphasis on low cost
equipment, e.g. I bought one on ebay for 150.00 (ok, maybe a little optimistic).
