Liviu:

Megalink is the Magic Word. Call the business office and tell them you are interested in a Megalink and that you need to talk to a Senior Telecom Engineer and also ask for a Business Account Manager to participate in the conference call. You will get the right people and then you can present the question about additional dids. I had a requirement for this about a year ago and a Sr. Telecom engineer with his account manager got back to me before the end of the business day.

Even as early as a year ago, I was quoted $4/did.

Cheers!
Reza.

Right on, but the trick of the whole thing is "getting the right person".
Not many folks at Bell understand BRI anymore (and probably none on the
front lines).

My info may be dated but try asking for "Microlink" (BRI) or
"Megalink" (PRI). If they tell you that's a data product,
just humour them until you get the right person.

Drew

Often, that's the biggest struggle with Bell: getting
someone one the phone who has a clue what you're asking for.
I tried to get a price from Bell for a BRI and they couldn't
even tell me who I could talk to about that. I think I
called 3 or 4 different numbers then gave up.

Actually they are currently charging us $120 /

$4 / DID which seems quite high, much more than
most VoIP providers !
Second, I tried calling their business support
today, and they didn't even seem to have any idea what I was
talking about. They made me send an e-mail to some address,
and I haven't gotten any reply yet.

Livia,

I belevie you do have to get the rest
of DIDs from Bell (costs around $2 for 30 or more). Sometime
ago I had a need for different exchange number through one a
Toronto PRI (different rate center) but they were not able to
do it. So, the CLEC that owns the block assigns paths. But
why are you looking into other DID providers anyways? Bell
has a good deal on them if you have the PRI.

Regards,
Bruce
