Duane:  You also touched on something very interesting!   I can't comment on 
the instability of the new WRT54G (Version 8) router series...        I've used 
WRT54G with v3, v4 and v6 (currently on my desk) with the latest firmwares.  
Its been rock solid.

  We have had no end of problems with customers that have D-Links.  We have had 
no problems with either the Linksys WRT54G (if the customer needs wireless) or 
BEFSR41 (if they don't need wireless).  The best part is that both of these 
routers support various types of QoS (mainly port or MAC based).

    DI-624,  DI-714P+ and DVG 1402S in our experience have ALL been 
problematic.   If you ask me, I'd say, "throw those out the window".

    We have several Linksys WRT54G's installed at small offices across GTA.  
They have been superb!
