What I did was cancel my cell phone voicemail and have my cell forward to
another number on my asterisk system that goes directly to my voicemail -
which, in turn, sends the message back to my cell. As a bonus, it's cheaper
than the voicemail option on my cell. I'm not 100% sure if this would work
when the cell phone is turned off because I never turn mine off.

Subject: [on-asterisk] Voicemail woes

Hi everyone, got a question for you.

I've got my business number set to simultaneously dial my office phone and cell
phone.  If I don't pick up either it goes to my Asterisk voicemail.  However,
if my cell phone is turned off the call goes to my cell voicemail immediately.

I understand why this is the case, but I'm hoping there is a way around this.
I want simultaneous dialing, I want centralized voicemail, I want my cake and I
want to eat it too.

Suggestions?

TIA,
Dave.
