Hello guys,

I am looking for a 56k modem (External) that has a LAN port on it; or a similar system that would be able to connect to the internet through 56k modem and then allow devices to connect to it by RJ45.

device. I think one of Airport Express does that...

Thanks,
Bruce

Just a month or two ago, I saw something like this on the multitech.com site. Basically it was like the DSL modems you see that also have 4 LAN ports on them (so you don't need both the modem plus a separate router)... only instead of a DSL Modem, it was an actual 56k modem.

I was really considering it for a friend I was helping set up in cottage country, stuck on dial-up, but he has several computers around the cottage. Instead, I did 1 computer dialed up, and the 2nd computer on a minimal 2-point LAN (no router, just a crossover ethernet cable).

I think Multitech even had one device that would share that dial-up connection to local Wi-Fi machines. But, sorry, I can't find that exact page on their site any more.

Cheers.

Martin
