The whole bridge thing was originally proposed as a patch for 1.2, but it took forever (almost) to get approved and massaged, which is why it's only in trunk. If you scrape through the Digium bug tracker, you might find a patch that would apply to your version of 1.2. Might. And might end up owning a very broken * installation. You must be running something significantly below 1.2.21; the bugfix appears in the changelog just before "Asterisk 1.2.14 released", which was on Dec 15th last year. Any particular reason you can't go up to 1.2.14 or higher? It's hardly as dangerous as running the latest and greatest 1.4.x. -- j.
