So there was "Leading Edge", then came the slang "Bleading Edge"... and now I'm introducing a new word which may become a part of the new techno slang "Lightning Edge".
I felt compelled to share this with all of you, as it has potential in ALL aspects of computing... NOT JUST Asterisk... but if a real super computer could be affordable to the little guys, I think its a revolution in itself, and we all could perhaps afford Space Age computing for our telecom servers. http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9584_22-6235362.html has all the details. Basically the topic is "Replacing wire with laser, Sun tries to speed up data" If SUN accomplishes a proof of concept within the next 5 years and is able to speed up data, then I think a new revolution on not just computing, but telecommunications will have begun. Sun has always played a major role in Telecommunications in one form or another. A lot of soft-switches run on Sun platform.
