Nope. I mean multiple copies of asterisk on the same system.

Just as multiple users can each run a separate instance of vim, or ssh, or
whatever, so too can multiple users run separate instances of asterisk.

Granted, this is not as easy as just starting it up (you need to assign
multiple IP addresses to the box, and have each asterisk instance run on its
own IP address), but this was something that Kevin Fleming talked about in
his speech, and I thought it was a pretty interesing concept.
