Synopsis:
Next week, Chris Chen will be giving a demonstration of many of the
features of FreeSWITCH which Mike Jerris talked about last month. He will
take us through his setup, which includes googletalk, conference, sip
endpoints, sip trunks, exchange 2007 um integration, asterisk server
interconnections, flite tts, and pocketsphinx ASR, among other things.
He will also be demonstrating some of the advanced SIP features, such as
BLF, SLA/BLA, SIP presence, simple messaging, intercom, ring groups, call
management, and the sorts of applications available, such as call spying,
dynamic conferences between SIP and googletalk endpoints, and the built
in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR).

The entrance into the conference area is well back from the road, just

Driving:
The North York Civic Centre (in Mel Lastman Square) is located on the
West side of Yonge Street, just North of Yonge and Sheppard. There is
plenty of (P)arking behind the building at 180 Beecroft Road, or
underneath Empress Walk (entrance is off of Yonge and Emwood Ave.)
TTC:
The North York Civic Centre (in Mel Lastman Square) is located at the
North York Centre subway stop, one stop North of Sheppard Station.
Afterwards, we will progress to Smokey Joe's Cafe, around 7:30 - 8:00pm
