One PCI slot.
160 Gig Seagate (3.5)
Intel Mobo
No clue who makes the NIC
No clue about speed (it's fast enough to handle a few dozen phones I am sure, but Trixbox might be a bit of a resource hog).

As already asked... how many PCI slots? What's the HDD size/make (2.5"?)
Motherboard? NIC Card manufactured by? Speed?

I have installed asterisk on an Atom-based system using CentOS 5.2 with no problems of any kind. To the OS it seems that it looks and acts exactly line a mainstream Intel brain/mobo. I think Trixbox uses some flavour of CentOS; not sure if it's 5.2 though.

I grabbed one of these from Canada Computers:

I threw in a T1 card in it and use it as my C.O. simulator. It works a treat. I even unplugged the CPU fan.

I have been looking at Atom based systems for a while. I keep drooling over
these cheapo, compact, low power units.

I'd really like to replace my 1Ghz, 1GB, 1U machine running Asterisk with one
in an attempt to keep power usage low. Are these things supported with
Asterisk/Trixbox?

Is anyone using them or can recommend a board or specific system? Any ideas on
capacity of users, transcoding, etc?

I have been looking at Jetway and Intel boards.

Any suggested configs (and accessories, riser cards, CF, etc...) or
alternatives would be appreciated.

Chuck
