One of the items that came out of the last planning meeting
(http://taug.ca/node/196) was a TAUG Phone System. The initial features
under discussion were:

- Announce next event
- General inquiries number for TAUG the group that rings out to a queue;
  falls back to voicemail->email
- Get connected to an expert, (we are not affiliated w/ whomever
  replies to your msg) -- you leave a voicemail that will be emailed out
  to a contractor's list
- List of demonstration systems that you can be bridged with via
  SIP/IAX; or list callback numbers to systems running asterisk to see
  what it can do

Some others that come to mind:
- Conference bridge for TAUG meetings
- Temporary inbound dialing accounts for people mucking around with
  asterisk for the first time

My thought is that a few of us get together one evening, map it out, and implement it. If you are interested, drop me a line. I'm aiming for Thursday (March 5th) evening next week, so that we can have something ready to put in print for any events we are participating in.
