Hi Lloyd,
From my testing on lower end systems, I've found that it takes about
200-300 bogomips to transcode a g729 call. A P4 1.8ghz has about 3500
bogomips of performance, so I would speculate that the upper limit for
the celeron would be around 15 g729 calls.
g711 you can expect between 3-4 times as many, so around 45-60.
