I'd like to connect about 4 homes together with a VPN to handle VoIP in a family environment -- so I'm shying away from "exotic" things on premises like linux boxes with humming fans. Is there anything commodity out there that will act as a VPN server, and have complimentary routers to act as VPN clients that could connect to it?
Otherwise, I'm thinking of the Tomato+OpenVPN (http://tomatovpn.keithmoyer.com/) distribution on WRT54g's, but haven't tested how well it works with VoIP traffic. I may also do away with the dedicated server, and set them up in a peer-to-peer fashion to reduce latency. -Simon --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
