Hi,
I'm no expert in asterisk and hardware selection, but I have been
running an MSI box like this (it's the dual-core cpu I have) with just a SATA
HD and 2GB RAM... no optical drive at all, no SSD. I installed Debian from a
usb stick and all has been running my asterisk server for about 4 months now.
Works well.
