Could it be the soundcards in these machines and not the NIC? What are
you using for the head/hand set? One thing that SJPhone has over the
others are better USB drivers for usb head/hand devices, so that may be
the reason your getting better sound quality. I've run into this issue
before and my solution was to use Plantronics headsets wit the USB
Dongle (part DSP Adapter-01), which has it's own DSP based sound card in
it so same excellent quality on any machine. I buy them by the dozen
from TigerDirect, even though the part is not on their website ( They do
have the 750), ebuy the 400 since it folds for easy transport ( but the
hinges can pinch hair! ).

Tested ZoiperFree, ZoiperBIZ and Xlite and altough Xlite is a bit better (which
