I've been delegated the responsibility to come up with a set of 100+ questions for Asterisk Skills testing for an employer. The questions could be asked in the form of a verbal interview and/or multiple choice questions to filter out candidates for the verbal interview.
If every specialist came up with 2-3 questions in this group, we can easily exceed 100 questions. So to get the ball rolling, here is my few sets of questions: 1. What is Asterisk? 2. What is SIP? 3. What is IAX? 3. What is Transcoding? 4. What is a dial plan? 5. What is a hangup priority? 6. How do you measure latency between peers? 7. What is the "GENERAL" section for in sip.conf? 8. What is a context? 9. How do you allow, disallow codecs? 10. What is an interconnectivity test? 11. What is a jitter buffer? 12. Why do we need jitter buffers? 13. How do you interconnect as a peer with a server? 14. What is a PRI? 15. Where does Asterisk store its logs? 16. How can you change the event messages in the console? 17. How is voicemail set in Asterisk? 18. How do you ODBC with Asterisk & MYSQL? 19. What is "can reivite" used for in Asterisk? .... Ok... 19 questions here to get the ball rolling.
