Hi TAUG'ers
I have a quandary.
I have phone number that I would like to port from my Bell POTS line to
my VOIP provider - thats the easy part. (I've ported from Rogers to Voip
before...)
The tricky part - I am using DSL and would like to switch to Dry Loop
with my current ISP (which is not my VOIP provider) at the same time.
I would like to know any tips - (timings specifically) since I would
like the Bell number port to proceed without incident.
Once the number is ported, what will Bell do with my circuit? Will they
shutdown the circuit? I think this is relevant since the ISP will need
to use what "telephone number/circuit number" to set up the dry loop
circuit?
Hopefully all this can happen without any significant DSL outage.
I thought I would ask you smart folks here, as you may have encountered
this before. Bell doesn't have a clue.... :-)
Thanks
