I am currently running Asterisk 1.6 on a OpenVZ VPS. I cannot generate the
host-id using register, as the MAC address is 00:00:00:00:00:00

venet0 Link encap:UNSPEC HWaddr
00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
          inet addr:127.0.0.1 P-t-P:127.0.0.1 Bcast:0.0.0.0

          RX bytes:138323 (135.0 KiB) TX bytes:156474 (152.8 KiB)

venet0:0 Link encap:UNSPEC HWaddr
00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
          inet addr:76.x.x.x P-t-P:76.x.x.x Bcast:76.x.x.x

Does register rely upon eth0 only? Or other interfaces are supported? I am
checking with my host to see if a MAC address can be added to venet0, but if
register only uses eth0, I'll have to find another solution.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Remzi
