Everyone, Has anyone used and tested the transcoding cards from Digium (TCE400B) and Sangoma (D100)?
I can't remember if someone ever posted test results using the transcoding cards. How's the voice quality and stability of the Asterisk system with the cards (SIP & IAX2). Any DTMF issues with the cards? Which version of Asterisk were you testing with the cards? We currently are using our telephone switch internal G.729 DSP cards to handle transcoding, but I would prefer to transcode right from our border gateways instead and increase the call capacity from our carrier class telephone switch. I'm looking to purchase about 15 new transcoding cards with 120 channels capacity on each card and I want to hear back from existing users on how well the card runs before I spend a big load of cash on them. If we decide to go ahead purchasing the cards, I will send another email to the BIZ list with pricing requests. But I just want to hear test results and feedback for now.
