Douglas had the correct solution but just leave out the "-t msdos". Mount will auto-detect the file system so no need to specify it.
If you want to get really fancy, you can setup udev to auto-mount your usb key at the same place every time it's plugged in. That way you can just walk up and plug it in without touching anything else.
