Just to answer the question in plain words, "no, dialup based POS/Interac systems will not work on VOIP lines".
However, all interac providers now have internet based interac/visa machines which is not only any easy switch but they are _way_ quicker to clear transactions. And if they have VOIP they must have internet right? So no problem.
